ABOUT ME —
Rosette Chan
Ember Psychology & Wellbeing is a space for enduring connection, self-discovery, healing and strengthening the inner resilience that already lies within.Hi there, I’m Rosette. I am a registered Clinical Psychologist based in Adelaide who has had the privilege of supporting a wide range of individuals during my time working in various mental health settings, including both private and public mental health services. I have experience working across the lifespan and treating a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, substance-use disorders, trauma, bipolar disorder, self-esteem issues, and relationship difficulties.
I have a passion in fostering genuine relationships with individuals across different backgrounds and circumstances. To me, this is a deeply meaningful and unique aspect of my work. My work is guided by my perceptiveness, natural curiosity, and ability to work collaboratively with people to understand patterns, experiences, and difficulties in helpful ways. I am always striving to create a safe and comfortable space for everyone to share their difficulties, as well as celebrate successes. I also enjoy bringing my humorous side into my work! Additionally, having lived in three countries - from Hong Kong, UK, and Australia, I am highly in tune with cultural differences and how culture can influence one’s well-being.
In my work, I utilise evidence-based approaches, and I enjoy using techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and mindfulness. Through working towards your individualised treatment goals, I aspire to help you become your own psychologist and to lead a meaningful and fulfilling life that we all deserve!
